Welcome JV Ranch – Best Beef in Northern California!

JV Ranch Beef Tenderloin

JV Ranch is located in Auburn California and they are best known for their delicious USDA inspected beef products.  They sell every cut of beef you can imagine.  Each morsel is delicious and healthy because you know you are eating meat without hormones or other added fillers.  The beef is grass-fed and raised on well-kept ranches.  The last three months before preparation, they are grain fed to ensure proper marbling and flavor.  JV Ranch is a family run ranch with over 163 years and six generations of living and ranching in the California foothills.

My family had the pleasure of preparing a beef tenderloin dish by marinating the beef for twenty four hours in a secret marinade recipe my dad would not divulge, but I suspect it included worschestshire, garlic, pepper, tobasco, and a dash of balsamic vinegar and olive oil.  I watched him throw it all together and by the next day it was ready for the grill.  The marinade was good and not overpowering in flavor, allowing me to actually taste the meat.  It was tender, flavorful and very delicious.  I loved it, and so did the rest of my family.  We ate the whole thing in one sitting!

If you have not had a chance to buy their beef at the market, you need to make a point to do so and make sure you pick up one of their beef rub spices.  You can taste the quality!

If you feel like beef, make it JV Ranch All Natural Beef.  You can find their beef products at our Farmers Market.  To contact them directly you can reach them at (916) 799-7653.

About bemoneysmartfarmersmarket

BeMoneySmartUSA, is a local non-profit training organization that teaches youth financial literacy and entrepreneurship education. Our mission is to teach and encourage the financial well-being of our next generation by offering FREE hands-on relevant training programs that help teens prepare for their economic lives. BeMoneySmartUSA in an effort to support these programs has opened a Farmers Market that also employs teens in the community through our Rent-A-Teen program that offers farmers and vendors the opportunity to hire trained contract employees to set up, break down and/or sell at their booths. Additional jobs include communications and hospitality. Teens in communications interview vendors and patrons and write expose' articles for the Market's monthly newsletter. Other teen journalists provide articles on seasonal vegetables and fruits, share recipes and update patrons on up coming events and information. Teens in hospitality greet market patrons, assist them and share information as they shop. The Market is also a community project that not only supports local teens, but also provides a venue for local farmers and vendors to share and sell locally grown and prepared foods, and supports local small businesses by offering a free venue to market their services through informational bill-boards and hand-outs. It helps to bring people together and offers a wonderful opportunity for businesses to get the word out. The Market distributes a monthly newsletter the coincides with the blogs on this site, and all articles and blogs are contributed by teens. We hope you enjoy them!
